CoQ10 Mitochondrial Complex
Main Ingredients
Co-Enzyme Q10
How It Works
Co-Enzyme Q10 or CoQ10 is needed for every cellular function and is present in all human cells, reaching its highest concentrations in and around energy producing mitochondria. All respiring eukaryotic cells, notably the mitochondria, contain this vitamin-like family of fat-soluble chemicals. It is a component of the electron transport chain and is involved in aerobic cellular respiration, which generates ATP as an energy source. CoQ10 levels are highest in organs that require the most energy, such as the heart, liver, and kidney.
It is also combined with L-cysteine, an amino acid needed for the cellular biosynthesis of glutathione, which helps in mitochondrial function and strengthens inner cell protective mechanisms against oxidative stress. L-cysteine is highly regarded for its ability to break up mucus, making phlegm caused by respiratory and pulmonary disorders simpler to cough up. In addition, L-cysteine affects the central nervous system’s neurons through modulating glutamate levels.
In a nutshell, we all require sufficient L-cysteine to effectively combat oxidative stress and illnesses that damage the brain and lungs.
